JMAC Group opens industrial services arm

Teesside based JMAC has announced its expanding their offering in the construction industry this year by moving into the industrial sector. This new addition to the JMAC Group is headed up by JMAC Group MD, Luis Mccarthy who feels JMIS is a natural progression on from the other arms of the JMAC Group; Scaffolding & Safety Systems.

The wealth of expertise and experience built up over the course of 4 decades in the construction industry gives the newly launches industrial business promising start, the firm said. Luis McCarthy has been the Managing Director of JMAC for some time now and is confident this new venture will see just as much success as the other arms of the JMAC brand.

Speaking of launch, Luis said: “JMAC’s values, infrastructure, and assets lends itself to the industrial market place, we have a wealth of experience and a fantastic team, industrial services is a natural progression for JMAC like many before us who have specialised in access then added the additional services and specialists to their teams. The addition of Sean Gowland and some other key members has enabled us to not only to compete, but offer grass routes services with a focus on value for money and increased quality. We are embarking onto a new chapter and one that has excited me since I dreamed of doing it while working on the tools alongside the lads on-site, we are going to set the benchmark for quality and service with JMIS that’s for sure!”

Assisting Luis with the JMAC launch into the industrial sector is Project Manager, Sean Gowland, who brings with him his own impressive track record in project management from some of the industrial industries largest companies. Sean’s background started with GKN back in 1989 where he started as a YTS scaffolder and looked at working his way up to various roles including working as a project manager & HSE advisor for Hertel over the course of his 18 years there, and, most recently, Sean was the site manager at Hunstman PU for Altrad. Speaking of his new position with JMAC, Sean said:

Speaking of his new position with JMAC, Sean said:

“When the opportunity arose to work for JMAC and assist with the launch of their industrial sector, I was ready for a new challenge and knew I had a lot to offer Luis and the team. One of the most appealing aspects of the job for me was the fact that JMAC is a family run company, I like the close-knit community they have created and I knew I would fit in straight away and be able to make a success of my new role. I’m looking forward to sharing my relationships, knowledge and experience from the industrial sector with JMAC and seeing where it will take us. Watch this space.”

JMAC Industrial Services will be offering a range of services, which includes; access, rope access, alternative access, insulation, blasting & painting, fireproofing and inspection/NDT.
