Scaffold Labourer

‘Due to the continued growth and diversity of Shield Services Group the  Scaffolding Division is looking for additional Scaffold Labourers and Scaffolders, in the Bristol area for an immediate start.

Main Duties

• Receiving, unloading, storing & stacking of equipment delivered to site.
• Tidying up work areas during and after the job.
• Erecting and dismantling the scaffold in line with the point of work.
• Safely use, as required, hand tools, powered hand tools, small plant and machinery
• Where appropriate, driving company vehicles and license permitting, towing decontamination units. Undertaking regular vehicle checks, reporting defects, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
• After appropriate training, work in confined spaces, work at heights and work in and around occupied properties.
• Undertake duties, in line with Contract Manager’s/Supervisors recommendations, instructions, and company policy and in accordance with Client requirements.
• Maintain professional standards at all times when communicating with Clients, Consultants, and the General public.
• The operative has a duty of care and responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of him/herself, work colleagues, and others who may be affected by his/her actions.
• Ensure that any issues/problems with work undertaken are recorded and communicated to the Supervisor.
• Ensure that you are aware of health and safety requirements, continually seek ways to improve the work environment, and take effective action in response to breaches in health and safety requirements.
• Undertake regular training in line with the Company Health and Safety policy.
• Ensure that plant/equipment is in safe working order maintained, and stored in a safe manner.
