The North Wales-based access specialist will provide engineered temporary access and construction support across the project’s four offshore substations.
Services will be ordered through individual call-offs during the offshore construction programme, with the framework running until the end of 2027 and including options for extension.
Baltica 2 is being developed by Ørsted and PGE around 40km off the Polish coast near Ustka. The project is expected to become the largest offshore wind farm in the Polish section of the Baltic Sea.
BGB’s scope includes the engineering and design of scaffolding and other temporary access solutions, including cable jointing and termination habitats.
The company said this will include non-standard and high-load scaffold designs in the restricted deck areas found on offshore substations, alongside access required during construction, commissioning and cable termination work.
Managing director Ben Badham said the award marked another step in BGB’s long-standing relationship with Ørsted.
BGB has been working across offshore substations and cable campaigns since 2017, providing services including scaffolding, rope access, inspection, maintenance and specialist personnel.
The company has expanded significantly beyond its traditional UK scaffolding operations in recent years, with activity across Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America.
No value has been disclosed for the Baltica 2 framework and work will be commissioned through individual call-offs rather than as a guaranteed single contract.
Baltica 2 is due to be fully commissioned by the end of 2027.
