Description

We are seeking an experienced Scaffolding Manager/Estimator to join our team. This role is pivotal ensuring daily operations are met, driving new business opportunities and managing estimating functions within our established company. They will also be responsible for overseeing various projects progress and ensuring schedules and health and safety procedures on site are followed correctly. Be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal staff.

Scope for further development and future training schemes available. Previous experience as a Contract Manager preferred, however an experienced Supervisor looking to progress will also be considered.

 

Duties:

Identify and target prospective opportunities/customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing, coordinating and motivating a work force ensuring that teams are working to maximum efficiency

Price and prepare new tenders, ensuring thorough follow-up to maximize secured opportunities.

Candidates would ideally have experience of working with main contractors and will be required to attend client and senior management meetings

Interpret specifications, schedules, and scopes of work to produce competitive solutions in line with customer requirements.

Read and scale building drawings to ensure customer needs are met and, where possible, exceeded.

Assist & Manage day to day operations & logistics.

Prepare handover packs for secured tenders, including risk/Method statements.

 

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience as a scaffolder & scaffolding estimator with in-depth knowledge of the scaffolding industry. CISRS Advanced Scaffold Card preferred or Part 2 as a minimum.

SMSTS Certificate preferred or SSSTS

CISRS Advanced Inspection Card preferred but not essential.

Ability to interpret specifications, schedules, and scopes of work effectively.

Strong understanding of Health and Safety

Proficiency in reading and scaling building drawings.

Experience in pricing and preparing tender inquiries.

Strong leadership skills / Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise workload.

Deal with client variations and negotiate costs.

Full UK driving license.
