Primarily based at our Edinburgh Access office, the successful candidate will head weekly planning meetings and review all project programmes before client submission. To ensure the correct provision of labour resources, materials, and equipment are allocated to sites to meet customers’ requirements whilst ensuring maximum productivity. Additionally, you will carry out site safety and performance audits, maintain compliance with RAMS and ensure all structures are fully compliant with The Work at Height Regulations.

• Location: Edinburgh with regional Coverage as required.
• Reports to: The General Manager, Access North – Edinburgh
• Responsible for: Projects accountability for the overall performance of:
• Site safety performance
• Site profitability
• Site compliance with company procedures
• Service delivery on customer sites
• Yard operations
• Role Purpose
You will provide effective leadership to your site managers by promoting the highest standard of business practice, the company culture, values, and ethics through your own behaviour.
You will be responsible for ensuring that suitable levels of operational, commercial, and safety support are made available to those sites in need.
You will act as the main coordinator of commercial information for your team of site managers, ensuring that the company’s reporting requirements are met.
You will ensure that objectives and processes are developed and followed at all levels of your business to ensure the achievement of overall company objectives.
You will ensure that sufficient competent resources are employed to meet the business needs and that people develop individually and as a team to achieve their full potential.

• Responsibilities
Support the contracts supervisors, providing operational, commercial, and pastoral support when required.
Ensure effective implementation and communication of management systems and processes, particularly in respect of health & safety, quality, and the environment.
• To head the weekly planning meeting and review all project programmes prior to submission to clients ensuring correct provision of labour resources, materials and equipment are allocated to sites to meet customers’ requirements whilst ensuring maximum productivity.
• To create weekly programme summaries with cost and revenue figures for every project.
• To ensure the review of all submitted weekly programmes is carried out with actual work done on site accurately recorded and submitted to clients with relevant commentary.
• To carry out site safety and performance audits and maintain compliance with RAMS and ensure all structures are fully compliant with The Work at Height Regulations.
• Assist the GM with producing monthly production and cost revenue reports.
• To assist QS with monthly update of billings forecast.
• To develop operative training plans and arrange for training requirements.
• Assist in the organisation of effective stock control within the region, ensuring maximum utilisation, creating stock forecasts and maintaining quality standards.
• Support the management team in tender meetings when required, providing operational guidance and viability assessment.
• Ensure staffing levels are met, including future needs and contingency.
• Ensure that risks to the business are carefully reviewed and appropriately controlled.
• Understand and ensure compliance with the statutory requirements governing the company’s activities.
• Assist the management team in achieving high quality standards.

Knowledge & Skills for the Position
• CSRS Advanced Scaffolder Qualification
• CSCS registered
• Extensive understanding of the Access sector with ideally 5+ years of experience.
• Experience of excellent stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication skills
• Proactive and able to work according to strategic direction.
• Must hold a current driving licence.
Work Location
Primarily based at our Edinburgh Access office and travelling to client’s sites in the Edinburgh Area. Travel may be required by the company with some lodging away from home.
Salary & Rewards
Medical Insurance: Private Medical Insurance (Single Cover)
Pension : up to an 8% contributory by Company / Employee or equivalent AE Pension

Holidays: 25 Annual + 8 Days Bank Holiday
Hours of work: 40 per week, Start & Finish times to be advised locally
Notice: 3 Months
