We’re Hiring! Contracts Manager required – Edinburgh

To manage several contracts within the Edinburgh area to ensure an exceptionally high level of service delivery to our clients. You will be accountable for the delivery of the P&L budget on projects and responsible for the health and safety of our people operating onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Health and safety of the contracts. Ensure that all support staff and operatives hold adequate training priory to appointment of any position and the highest of standards are maintained via the BMS system.
• Responsible for the P&L of the contracts. The job holder will work with the commercial team to formulate month end valuations, in preparation for sign off with the Key Account Manager.
• Work with the Estimator to develop strategies and solutions associated with the contracts, and manage their implementation, optimising cost, schedule, and performance activities.
• To manage the relationships with all client stakeholders.
• Lead and motivate the site teams, ensuring end-of-year performance reviews are undertaken and develop plans in place.
• Monitor the teams’ performance and ensure compliance within their roles.
• Ensure Supervision are monitoring their direct reports appropriately.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure that these are closed out in a timely manner.
• Carry out Positive Interventions and discuss with site teams.
• To ensure all work is undertaken within the job holder’s demonstrated level of competence.
• Undertake site measures with QS to ensure accurate reporting of site norms in accordance with contract requirements.
• Sign off on weekly wage costs, including wages, ensuring that they have been correctly allocated to individual nominal codes.
• Be aware of the business continuity plan for the contracts across the Edinburgh Area.
• Ad hoc duties as requested by the General Manager.

Knowledge skills & experience

• Preferably 5 years’ previous experience within the Scaffolding sector working at a similar level.
• Site Manager Safety Training Scheme desirable.
• IOSH or NEBOSH is highly desirable.
Person
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication between all parties involved with the Business Unit.

Work Location

Based at our Edinburgh office, while site presence at the other contract locations is essential. Will be required from time to time to travel to other Enigma locations for meetings, although this will be infrequent.

Salary & Rewards

Basic Salary: Negotiable dependant on experience

Pension: Upto 8% contributory by Company / Employee

Holidays: 25 Annual + 8 Days Bank Holiday

Hours of work: 40 hrs per week, Monday – Friday

Notice: 3 Months
Company car or car allowance provided dependent on preference.
