Admiral Scaffolding has donated £20,000 to organisations in need during the coronavirus outbreak

Through its charitable trust, the Wimbledon based firm asked MP’s Stephen Hammond and Siobhain McDonagh on causes which would benefit from donations.

The trust donated a total of £20,000 to three causes in need:

St George’s Hospital received £5,000 to fund 50 blood pressure monitors that can be used from home. And 25 tablet computers that will allow patients in isolation the chance to talk to their loved ones.

The Commonside Trust, received £5,860 to help cover their food bank, meals and telephone calls for a month.

Christian Care received £7,650 to cover all of their family meals for two weeks.

Speaking to Wimbledon Times, chairman of Admiral Trust, Terry Withers, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have supported us in raising these funds. They can be proud of supporting these great charities who are doing so much in this time of great need.”
